I wrote this over at my Garden Blog at my  imcheryl  site but don't want to loose it - it's a fun little poem!

I believe in magic!
I do, I do, I do, I do, I do!
I believe in the magic in me
and you, and you, and you!

I know there's a purpose and a meaning
to transform the garden is my leaning!
This garden - our beautiful world
This garden - the heart of a girl
in love with life and it's gentle dance
in-fatuation with an angelic stance

I thank all my angels for the chance to see
and with purpose and hope unlock the angel in me!
May it also unlock the angel in you
there's nothing better I'd like to do!

Because I do believe in magic!

(I wanted to remember these words that I had jotted down on the back of an envelope well over a month ago now. Just in case I somehow lost track of the envelope! The inspiration will be used to help me sort through some of my photographs that demonstrate these ideas. From there I'll see what I build with it and I'm looking forward to the project!)

Saw this text posted with a beautiful photograph at a friends' photo website.
 The sentiment was so very pure and true and simple;

"Ye are the flowers of one garden,
the fruits of one tree,
the leaves of one branch..."
-Baha'ullah

Baha'ullah is the founder of the Baha'i faith and many of his writings are thought provoking. And of course, this does mention a garden so it has special meaning to me!
I'm not personally Baha'i but one thing I have liked about the faith, based on what I experienced with Bahia's I have known is the way the ones I knew seemed to love to see unity among peoples of all faiths, one of the few religions that suggest this is even desirable.

Given the Pope's current predicament I begin to wonder when these poor examples in communication can end? When can we move beyond these separating and divisive attitudes - regardless of where they're coming from - on all sides of the argument - and start dealing with each other like the sensible and creative and flexible people we are?  All of us - every single human being - are responsible to get that wave of nurturing and gratitude growing - for the better of all!

In a world where people are sincerely encouraged and empowered to participate together, to co-operate, to co-create, there would naturally be far less discord among people, neighbors, government or business if we could operate with that in mind. It would only be natural for people to get along, it seems to me!

wow! It's almost a scary thought when one starts to see where the discord comes from in the first place!

The more I follow these quirky moments it seems the more joy and expansion comes into my life. It's as if I'm meant to follow them to see where they may lead, and often they lead to precious magical moments that assure me all is well in my world!

It all started with an on-line conversation. Someone had suggested  "...seems to be a lot of people are expressing their wishes for peace." and her hope it was a trend that would continue to spread!

Peace virus idea; hatched August 30th, 2006

may it be our biggest contagion to have visited this fair earth!)

Peace virus! and there ain't no cure!
There's a peace virus running - that's for sure!
It's a virus I know and it's strain is pure!
There's a peace virus running around our world!
Don't get a shot, don't scare it away
step up and get your virus today
shake hands with your neighbour
kiss your boss and your friend
where it can grow - do be sure to send
a good dose of the virus so it won't end!

and it's highly contagious - that's for sure
it's vibrant and alive and it's spreading around
it's in the air, the water and on the ground
it's reaching out to touch everyone
don't try to stop it don't be afraid
this is the secret of the natural way
it was bound to happen one day
where it can grow be sure to send
a dose of peace virus so it won't end!

Through science and in medicine
we've learned bodies are amazing things
we've learned we have the ability
to help our bodies stay dis-ease free
we are even learning to day
that viruses may be the way
to beat cancer and knock it away
who would've thought that viruses
might have a purpose in our lives
perhaps it's been there all along
but no one knew till we wrote this song
which happened before we heard the news
that viruses would be new tools!

There was magic in the garden
and today the sun shone there
a walking stick and great medicine
was brought and planted there
a prayer for peace, a prayer for hope
and a prayer for the people was given
I wished for love to fill human hearts
I wished for war plans to fall apart
I wished for the magic in my garden to grow
to teach me more with each thing I sew
to teach what there is I can share
and to follow the inspirations with care
I know I'm here to help for peace; I know

I pray for peace and I pray for hope
and I pray the people remember;
to the race of angels we are members
I pray for their safety, I pray for their health
I am grateful for earth's bountiful wealth
A wealth of love and harmony and life
all we might need to live a good life.
I prayed for harmony, I prayed for peace
I prayed for people of every creed
I prayed for the world, that's what I do
I prayed for the garden and I prayed for you.
I wished for the magic in my garden to grow

and I am so grateful to have had this opportunity when a friend dropped by with a lovely walking stick he'd fashioned that had morphed itself, with it's own beautiful energy, into a story stick and it will have beautiful stories that it will pull into it's energy. This has become the staff of a shaman. I planted it in the garden at the artist's suggestion and made my prayers and sent my wishes to the spirit winds. I then moved to the center of the vortex that exists next to the garden and the fence that I utilized to ground the whole experience and channel divine energy through to the very center of the earth and reaching high into the universe. A meditative technique that brings one closer to one's connection with the divine. I was moved. I realized this is a chapter for the "story" stick as well! It has now gained a wonderful charge of energy from the garden - the action aided both the garden and the carving in rising both their vibrations and connecting more closely with divine guidance.
The garden and it's life will respond and I welcome the hints and nudges that will unfold with this new chapter in it's experience as well as mine!
